The parks department is dumping trash bags and refuse improperly on fiesta island, uncovered in trash bags easily torn apart by wildlife, leading to windblown debris all over the island and flotsam reaching mission bay in violation of state law and city ordinance. Have observed trash growing and spreading over months. Observed parks department pickup trucks hauling trash as recently as today 7/18/26. Playground phone does not work. Maybe it’s clogged or something. It’s not a big deal compared to other issues, but it’s just bad reflection upon our city parks. I tried to show my 3 y/o daughter how to use it, but it didn’t work. Disappointing. Please fix it.
