- I am following up on my report regarding recurring noise from Carmel Creek Elementary School. Since my last report on October 9, the noise has continued. Most recently, I observed it on October 16, beginning at approximately 12:00 PM and still ongoing at the time of this report. As previously described, loud amplified music has been played on weekdays from approximately 12:00 PM into the late afternoon. The music is clearly audible inside my home with windows closed and significantly disrupts residents in the neighborhood. Some of the music being played contains lyrics inappropriate for an elementary school setting. This raises a concern about the content being broadcast to students and to the surrounding community. Because this has continued for more than two months and persisted after my earlier report, I respectfully urge the City to continue working with the school and the school district to resolve this issue. I am asking that amplified music be kept to a reasonable volume or played only indoors.
