- Hello, how are you? Hope you are having a great day. At Mt Etna Park, there is a posted sign that reads "Private Fields, managed by North City Youth Baseball". There is also a gate that is connects the batting cage to the restroom building. This gate blocks the sidewalk/walkway so that we can not access the fields or the Mt Etna Canyon Trail. There are stairs, but my knees are not well. Our family loves Mt Etna Park and have used it for the past 14 years. We would play baseball, football, volleyball, frisbee, fly kites, exercise on these wonderful fields and hike the trails. Could you please help us understand how public access to City parks, fields, and trails have changed and become privately run for Little League usage only? This is not the case at any other City Parks that have shared usage fields. Examples, Standley Park Recreation Center, Mt Acadia Park, East Clairemont Athletic Area, etc. Thank you for your time and help. Wishing you a great rest of your day! Cheers!
