- There are a significant amount of mosquitos just south of Pendleton Elementary and Clay Park. They are likely coming out of the narrow storm drain easement just south of these locations. There was a mosquito spraying event in the Rolando Village neighborhood earlier this summer but the spray zone did not include Mataro Drive where it meets Pendleton Elementary or the storm drain easement to the direct south. There was a report of West Nile virus originating from the Rolando Village area.
